Who are we?
Ngalin Ayeye (Nah-lin Ah yeya) is a multi-dimensional collaboration between two Brisbane based indigenous artists. Through our artwork and storytelling, we take you on a journey of understanding and connection through First nations culture. Ngalin Ayeye translates to “Our Story”, using this mantra we use knowledge dating back thousands of years to create, educate and collaborate with all walks of life to produce a spiritually guided artwork or an educational and informative workshop.
Why us?
We understand the importance of culture and the role it plays to the identity of this country and all individuals living here. Having grown up in Darwin, North QLD and now in Brisbane we are fully aware of the educational gap that exists within ‘the big smoke’ of Meanjin/ Brisbane of our beautiful culture. It is both our passion and goal to increase this knowledge of culture through Urban areas like Brisbane to better help understand how beautiful and intricate First Nations traditions are.
Learning about first nations culture is essential for australians to develop the ability to respect, coexist, and communicate with people of different cultural backgrounds and to better understand the oldest living culture on this earth.
