A Collaboration between two young Brisbane based indigenous artists, Ngalin Ayeye (Nah-lin Ah yeya) is an initiative to help people understand the deep connection aboriginal people have with art and the importance of culture and lore.

Through our art, yarning and education, Ngalin Ayeye educators hope to touch the hearts and leave a lasting memory in every customer through their work.

We hope to also bring indigenous youth in urban areas closer to their culture and to teach them to be proud of who they are and where they’re from through workshops based around education & artwork.

The Business Name

Formerly known as MA Deadly Art, the business authentically grew to be more than art and painting. Both business owners Matt and Ambrose agreed that the business had moved into an education based organisation and wanted to pay respect to their traditional languages which ultimately helped shape the name. Ngalin meaning ‘Our’ in Matt’s native tongue (Guugu Yimithirr) and Ayeye (Arrernte) from Ambrose’s central desert language group meaning “Story” helps pivot the business into a more professional educational based business.
